WHERE are my THOUGHTS going to be when I’m long GONE??!?! Ft. Lutch

In this episode of Linguini’s Dough, we interview Lutch from the, “I didn’t read your book” podcast. We discuss some of his fears with his thoughts. More specifically, his fear of not saying anything important, being forgotten when he dies, & his biggest one; Having 0 significant record of his thoughts. Give this episode a listen if you wanna hear more on that.

Beginning this episode with Lutch, we talk learn a little bit about who he is. Currently he is a dog walker, and this allows him hours of time to listen to podcasts/audiobooks and further his knowledge. He used to deal with substance abuse and has done a lot to battle that. In 2013 Lutch’s best friend Akon passed away to a motorcycle accident, this shaped a lot of the next 8 years and going for Lutch. This brought Lutch through a little bit more down the drug path, eventually bringing him to a spot where he knows he either must commit to drugs or commit to bettering himself. He chooses to work on himself.

Next, we talk about his fear that his perspectives are not unique, (He does believe that is his views are unique) which could lose the value that he is the one telling it to others. He really wants it to be meaningful into whoever listens to the advice.

Every now and then, someone mentions that one day your last name will be said for the very last time, Lutch fears he might be forgotten. He remembers Akon and will continue to the remainder of his life, and doesn’t want him to ever be forgotten, this also incites fear that Lutch might be forgotten after his time here on Earth. Lutch wants to be remembered for something that affected people’s day to day life. This fear does not haunt him every day, but when thinks about it, it scares him.

Finally, he worries that of what he says may be important, will be erased. He has had experiences with Facebook banning him over small opinions, and that’s a company erasing what he had in writing. With every possible way to store his thoughts, there is no way to know if its safe, you can burn books, hard drives fail. The only way to keep his legacy, is through the power of it affecting enough people that it lives on from people’s interest to keep his words for themselves. Listen to the full episode to get even more detail into this.
