In this episode of Linguini’s Dough, we interview Crian from the, “Inside Crypto” Podcast. We talk about his anxiety and panic attacks he has experienced and what that is like.
The first part of our discussion we introduce Crian. He is a community manager at a crypto company, he lives in Taiwan but this company runs on Eastern Standard Time. Crian is from South Africa. He also runs the, “Inside Crypto” podcast, he runs it for the company he works for.
In this discussion with Crian, we establish that anxiety and panic attacks are similar, but a little bit different. He experience’s both, but mostly has a hard time with the anxiety attacks. The Anxiety attacks usually come from a meeting he may have at work, usually it starts about thirty minutes before the meeting and he starts getting shakey. It’s both a physical and mental thing when it happens. As the meeting starts, his teeth start chattering, and he has to force them close. Afterwards, he generally ok, but its way hard in the moment.
Panic attacks don’t happen as often for Crian, but still occur from time to time. Usually panic attacks happen when he reflects on all his responsibility’s, and they only last 3-5 minutes. This will cause him to tear up while he is riding his motorcycle and make him feel sad/depressed. This is all mostly a mental thing.
The number one thing he does to deal with the anxiety is rewatch action sequences from movies that he is familiar with. This was the most fascinating part of this conversation in my opinion.
